Warren and Lisha Moore
The lodge is managed by husband and wife team, Warren and Lisha Moore. Warren started his career at Kings Camp in 1995 as a ranger, taking over the management in 1998 – the same year that he and Lisha were married. Lisha left her career as a flight attendant with South African Airways to start working at the lodge in 1996.
For the past 23 years, they have nurtured and run Kings Camp as if it was their own. They are the proud parents of two children, Cathan and Sveva, and together they live their dream in the middle of the African bush.

Michellé grew up in a farming community in the heart of the Free State, where she matriculated after which she joined the South African Air Force. She joined the corporate world where her organized attitude and passion for people soon made her a trophy for head-hunters. She qualified during her part time studies with a Diploma in Reflexology and a Masseuse in 1995 and in 2001, after completing the necessary training as a beautician, she opened her own business, where she could live out her own passion for people and animals having her own beauty salon and pet parlour/safe haven for abused/abandoned animals.
In 2001 her parents bought a farm, which after about 10 years became part of Dinokeng Nature Reserve, where she had the opportunity to get involved with the hospitality industry and in 2016 her life passions: people, animals and nature combined, called her. Michellé has managed some upmarket Lodges/Camps and recently also made a turn in West Africa.

Spa & Front Office Manager
Our Spa Therapist, Patricia, is a warm and friendly presence at Kings Camp. She was raised not far from the Timbavati, in the local town of Bushbuck Ridge, and is a beacon of happiness around camp. After finishing high school, Patricia worked as a hairdresser in Hoedspruit, where she was encouraged to reach for her dreams.
Sponsored by the amazing people she met in Hoedspruit, Patricia headed to Pretoria to study at the Indigo Spa Academy for two and a half years. Following her studies, Patricia, together with her sponsors, started the first real African spa in the town of Acornhoek. Life changing experience
A friend and I just returned from a 4 day stay at Kings Camp. I read so many posts so my expectations were very high and they were exceeded. It truly was amazing from every point of view. The accommodations were beautiful, the staff warm and friendly, the food delicious. It truly is like being part of a family and I didn’t want to leave and looking forward to coming back.
