This weeks game sightings were excellent…..
Although the same can’t be said about the weather with powerful thunderstorms dominating certain days.
Nevertheless, the game sightings were still great.
A real bonus sighting was when Macunjani was found resting at one of the dams during a morning drive. He was also seen feeding on two different impala carcasses.
Rockfig‘s cub, Nkatheko was seen almost everyday. She is stunning and her calm attitude ensures fantastic viewing.
Mbali‘s little jewel was finally seen a few days ago. She spends much of her time in the northern Mopane woodland area that is not often frequented by our vehicles.
Elephant herds are back in large numbers. They are now often seen along the non-perennial rivers were they spend time playing and resting.
Lastly the Timbavati male lions managed to secure a large kill for themselves. This time it was an old buffalo bull.
Oh Patrick….Once again you amaze us with your photos!!!!! It’s great to see Mbali’s cub again. She sure has grown since I was there in July, 2008. I was getting worried since you hadn’t seen her in a while.
Loved the photos of your Christmas party. I don’t care what you say, you look GREAT dancing!
Hope you continue to be well.
Chris

Ciao Patrick
Hi Patrick,
You are going to laugh, but at first glance on the last photo, I actually thought that was a baby elephant standing on top of her mother!?! I immediately scheduled an appointment to get my eyes checked . . . and my head.
Cheers,
Todd
Great pics Patrick !! It still amazes me how close these leopards allow the vehicles. Brings back wonderful memories of my visit there last month!
Keep those pictures coming….they are much appreciated.
Stay well.
Moira.
Hi Patrick, What a stay we had! The pictures are great (what else would they be if you took them!). It’s funny to see them and recognise the shot.
We look forward to checking every week now to see how everything is progressing.
All the best, Phil & Lynda James
