Heaving rain in Timbavati

By Patrick O’Brien on January 21, 2013

South Africa experienced widespread heavy rains over KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and Mpumalanga on Friday 18th January 2013 to Sunday 20th January 2013. These heavy rains were caused by an intense low pressure moving in from Botswana.
As a result all the rivers and contributories in Timbavati are flowing very strong which makes access to certain areas impossible.
Luckily for us the camp is not busy and this gives us chance to repair some of the damanage roads.

  1. Oh my. Looks like too much of a good thing. I wonder what the rivers will look like in August. Most likely dry as usual. Hope to see you then.
