1. A highly exclusive camp
Kings Camp is made up by just 6 Luxury Suites and 1 Family Suite ensuring a highly exclusive, small number of guests in camp at any time. Each has its own private verandah and plunge pool – the perfect place to relax and cool off between activities on safari.
2. Far from any crowds
Situated within the private Timbavati Nature Reserve, Kings Camp is located about 450 km north-east of Johannesburg – roughly 6 hours’ drive from the CBD. Being in a private reserve, we receive a limited numbers of visitors compared to the national park.

3. Lots of wide open spaces
The Timbavati Nature Reserve covers 53,392 hectares, forming part of the Greater Kruger Park. Game drives traverse over 100 km² offering plenty of space for guests to get out and enjoy the wild.
4. Strict covid protocols
At the lodge, prevention methods have been put in place to ensure our guests and staff are safe. These include social distancing, hand sanitisers, masks in public areas, game drives limited to 6 per vehicle, dining tables spaced 2m apart etc.

Kings Camp Daily Itinerary
If you were to visit Kings Camp during the winter months of 2021, you could expect to wake up before dawn to the sound of bird calls, before enjoying a quick coffee and then heading out on game drive. After a few hours in the bush return for a well-earned breakfast at the lodge.
Lunch is served around 14h00, so you have a few hours to enjoy some downtime, a swim in the pool or get in a quick massage in the privacy of your suite. The afternoon drive leaves again at around 15h30 in winter, after which you return for a delicious dinner and a nightcap before a restful night in your suite.
