Rockfig leopardess and Nkateko

By Patrick O’Brien on February 10, 2009

This stunning leopardess and cub was found during the start of our game drive during the early morning.

I told the guests that we were lucky to bump into the leopardess and her cub.

Mom and cub played for a few minuets and at one stage the cub somehow got lost. She moaned and desperately called mom for a few minutes, but to no avail. She finally let instinct take over and decided to trial the scent mark of her mother and within minutes she located mom resting under a tree. They interact before moving again to a dense woodland to rest.

  1. God bless you and your updates! I can almost put myself into your vehicle as you witnessed the event.

    Cheers,
