The Schobele male has now been dominant in this area for well over 7 years!!
When they first arrived the coalition consisting of 4 males. Two of the brothers were killed by buffaloes on two sepperate occations. The remaining two then ruled about three quarters of this reserve for over 6 years before the other brother died in late 2006. Now, at about 14 years old, the remaining Schobele male is fighting the elements and natural selection to survive.
