It has always been a dream of mine to see white lions in the wild after reading the book “White lions of the Timbavati”.
I never in my wildest dreams thought that it would come true. On the 28th of January I got to see 2 white lion cubs as a birthday present. After spending a quarter of my life living and working in the bush this surely is the most amazing sighting I have ever had and believe me I have seen some pretty amazing things.
Thank you to everyone at Kings Camp. Special thanks to Patrick and Daniella! You made my year! The lodge is fantastic and the service and food exquisite. The best I have experienced. Thank you Warren and Lisha and to the wonderful ranger and tracker team, Cynet and Remember.

LOL, Remember just ignoring the elephants!
Glad you got to see the white lions – they are pretty amazing to see…looking a bit hungry though…time for moms to kill another giraffe! im up in the timbavati next week, so hopefully they are still hanging around!
Oh how they’ve grown! Agree…looking skinny though. Thanks for the pics.
ps…talk about close to the elephant!LOL !!
just heard from Morné that the pride killed a buffalo this afternoon right near Kings Camp! Great news for the cubs…now post some pics Morné!!!
I got the last several minutes of the kill on video, how absolutely amazing, something I thought I would never live to see. And it’s good that the white lion stands a chance of survival.
