The Kings Warren
Named ‘The Kings Warren’ in honour of our General Manager of 28 years, Warren Moore and with reference to a burrow-like entrance tunnel, the underground hide is situated on the edge of the lodge’s waterhole. It is equipped with every luxury you could require to make your experience comfortable, such as air conditioning for the hot summer months, power points for charging devices, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Designed with the needs of serious photographers in mind, the hide’s most remarkable feature is its viewing windows. Each can be fully opened to maximize views of the wildlife visiting the waterhole. The windows are even fitted with specially imported one-way photographic glass, so you can take stunning pictures or observe the animals without disturbing them.
The hide also comes equipped with photographic bean bags to provide you with ultra comfort and stability, ensuring that your shots are crisp and focused. Additionally, east and west camera views are split between two flat screens, allowing photographers to spot animals approaching the waterhole and ready their cameras before they arrive.
